This site was created as an avenue to extol, discuss and learn about the works of a favorite author of mine, M. E. Kerr (a.k.a. Mary James). M. E. Kerr has since become an interactive member of this site. She visits on a regular basis to read and respond to visitors' comments and questions on the Message Board, Guestbook and Comments section. So just to clarify, I am not M. E. Kerr/Mary James; I am the webmaster and a fan of her books. However, readers may communicate with M. E. Kerr via this site or if you e-mail or address a query to me, I will try to respond accurately, creatively and in general, as helpfully as I can. I will also forward questions and comments to M. E. The books M. E. Kerr has written for children and young adults over the years from her first book Dinky Hocker Shoots Smack! to her more recent Deliver Us From Evie and Shoebag have been well-received by her audience of students, critics, teachers and parents alike. Along the way, M. E. Kerr has also managed to stir up some healthy bouts of controversy and discussion with her choices in subject matter. So, there's ample to say, ponder and appreciate about M. E. Kerr and her writing! If you're reading this, you are probably a fan of her work as well. If you are new to her books, you might want to start with the biographical information.
