HI, it's me, again, the one who asked yuo to keep writing to the day you die, I hope you did not take offense to that. Your just a spectular writer. I just finished reading 'What became of her' it was a incredible book, and I was shocked at the end, when Julie came back to Serenity married to Deigo. I thought Julie would have married Neal or E.C. But it was a good conclusion. I liked it. I love your bo |

Hi! I'm a student a Waukesha North High School and was lucky enough to attend a discussion with M.E. Kerr this past Wednesday. I just wanted to let her know how cool the whole thing was. I wasn't going to go at first, but I absolutely loved Gentlehands, and I think I ended up asking 4 questions! I hope you had as much fun as we all did! Thanks again for such a great opportunity and for answering all of our questions :o) Best of luck and keep writting! |

Apologies to Renee (see below) for having her entry cut off. Here is the rest of her lovely guestbook entry: "I was a royal pain the you know what, but I was a girl with a mission. From that day on, I did my best to read as much as I could about the authors of my favorite books. Even now, when I read to my six month son, I always start by telling him who wrote his baby books and who illustrated them. Your site is wonderful and just the kind of resource I would have loved while growing up and looking for my next good read and information about the person who wrote it. Renee" |

This is the second time I'm signing your guestbook. The wee folk teleported the first time. If they do it again, there will be hell to pay if I can figure out how to do it. Pay hell. The Tripper. |

For my private school in New Jersey, we have to read and write about 'Blood on the Forehead: What I Know About Writing' over the summer. This book inspired me to read more of her work. I really appreciate that she cares for her young readers enough to make appearences and a sort of textbook to help and guide. Her writing is very realistic and that's what I like about it. |

I've been a rabid fan since 19 (if you'll forgive me) 68. I starve between her publications and just wish that M.E. would write faster |

In 1974, when I was five years old I met Ms. Kerr. I still remember the intense heat I felt moments later, not because of the weather, but because of sheer embarrassment. I told Ms. Kerr that I loved to draw and that someday I was going to be an artist. She asked me if I liked to read, and I told her how much I loved books. She asked me who wrote some of my favorite books and I replied without hesitation “ Oh, I never look at the author’s name”. I heard my older sister and my mother gasp, and Ms. Kerr bent down to me and said “oh yeah, well when you grow up, I am going to go to art galleries to look at paintings and I’m not going to look and see who drew them!” Very suddenly, I understood her point, as I turned beet red. I went home and read all the author’s names on my books and organized them accordingly. I made every teacher I had in school from that point on, read the author’s name and the inside jacket on each book that was read aloud in class. I was a royal pain in t |
